New device aims to stop spinal failure after major back surgery

Summary
This study tests a new device called VersaTie that may help prevent a common complication after long spine fusion surgery in adults with spine deformities like scoliosis. About 225 adults who need surgery on five or more spine bones will be enrolled. The study will compare outcomes like pain, function, and quality of life between those who get the device and those who don't.
