First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study tests a device called Amulet 2 that plugs a small pouch in the heart (the left atrial appendage) where clots often form in people with atrial fibrillation. The goal is to lower stroke risk without needing lifelong blood thinners. About 458 participants with AF and high stroke risk will receive the device and be followed for safety and effectiveness.
