First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study compares breathing machine settings chosen by doctors with those recommended by a smartphone app called VentilO for patients just after heart surgery. The goal is to see if the app reduces the chance of respiratory acidosis (too much acid in the blood). About 76 adults will take part, and their blood gases will be checked after 20 minutes on the ventilator.
