ICU breakthrough? simple One-Hour delay could prevent breathing tube reinsertion
NCT ID NCT07324382
Summary
This study aims to find the safest way to remove breathing tubes from intensive care patients who have been on ventilators for over three days. It will compare two approaches: removing the tube immediately after a breathing test, or waiting one hour on light ventilator support before removal. The goal is to see which method better prevents patients from needing the breathing tube put back in.
