Doctors test simpler gauge for ventilator Patients' breathing strain
NCT ID NCT05952726
Summary
This study tested a simple, bedside method for estimating how hard a patient on a breathing machine is working to breathe. Researchers compared this simple method to a more complex, gold-standard measurement in 24 critically ill adults with respiratory failure. The goal was to see if the simpler method is reliable and to find the best machine settings for using it.
