Scientists probe mystery fluid in chronic wounds
NCT ID NCT06109844
Summary
This study aimed to understand why some leg wounds don't heal by collecting and analyzing the fluid that seeps from them. Researchers followed 13 patients with chronic venous leg ulcers over four weeks, collecting wound fluid samples and measuring wound size. The goal was to learn how this fluid affects healing cells and to compare different methods of collecting it for future research.
