New hope for high-risk leukemia patients: early drug therapy shows promise

Summary
This study tests whether giving the drug venetoclax early can help people with a slow-growing but high-risk form of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). About 82 participants with early-stage CLL who have certain risk factors will receive venetoclax. The main goal is to see how many achieve a complete response with very low levels of cancer in their bone marrow after 12 months.
