Living cell gel aims to heal diabetic foot sores
NCT ID NCT07498218
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This early-stage study tests a new treatment called VELGRAFT, made from living cells, for people with diabetic foot ulcers that have started to form new tissue but haven't healed. About 24 adults with type 1 or type 2 diabetes will receive either VELGRAFT plus standard care or standard care alone. The main goal is to check safety, and researchers will also see if the treatment helps wounds close completely by week 12 or 14.
