Living cell gel aims to heal diabetic foot sores in early trial
NCT ID NCT07498218
First seen Apr 01, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This early-stage study tests a new treatment called VELGRAFT, made from living cells, for people with diabetic foot ulcers that have started to heal but are not closing. About 24 adults with diabetes and a foot sore present for 4 to 24 weeks will receive either VELGRAFT plus standard care or standard care alone. The main goal is to check safety, and researchers will also see if the treatment helps wounds close completely by week 12 or 14.
