First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests a new drug called VC005 in 120 adults with non-segmental vitiligo, a condition that causes white patches on the skin. Participants will take either VC005 or a placebo daily for 52 weeks. The main goal is to see if the drug can reduce the size of white patches on the face after 24 weeks.

VC005 tablets
What this could lead to
If it works, this could lead to a new treatment option that helps restore skin color in people with vitiligo.
What could go wrong
This is an early Phase 2 trial with only 120 people, so results may not apply to everyone. The drug may not work better than placebo, and side effects are still being studied.
