Massive NIH hunt for clues to mysterious, devastating blood vessel diseases

NCT ID NCT02257866

Summary

This study aims to learn more about a group of rare diseases called vasculitis, which cause damaging inflammation in blood vessels. Researchers will follow up to 4,000 people, including patients and healthy volunteers, over many years to track symptoms, collect blood and tissue samples, and perform scans. The goal is to find patterns and biological markers that can help doctors better understand these diseases, predict how they will progress, and identify patients for future treatment trials.
