New hope for aching knees: vein treatment study targets elderly pain

NCT ID NCT07239284

Summary

This study is investigating whether a minimally invasive procedure to treat varicose veins can also relieve knee pain in people aged 80 and older. Researchers will follow 50 elderly patients who have both varicose veins and knee pain for one year after they receive the standard vein treatment. The main goal is to see if reducing vein congestion around the knee leads to less pain and better mobility.
