Zap your neck, sharpen your mind? new study tests nerve stimulation in vapers

NCT ID NCT06804109

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether a mild electrical stimulation of the vagus nerve in the neck can improve attention and thinking in young adults who vape. 100 healthy volunteers aged 18-25 who currently or previously used e-cigarettes will receive either real or fake stimulation, then take three cognitive tests. The goal is to understand if this device can help counteract any mental fogginess linked to vaping.
