Scientists hunt for hidden patterns in deadly ICU infections
NCT ID NCT07245888
Summary
This study aims to improve diagnosis of ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP), a serious infection affecting ICU patients on breathing machines. Researchers will analyze proteins in lung fluid samples from 400 patients across five European countries to identify different types of VAP. The goal is to develop better diagnostic tools that could lead to more personalized treatment approaches for critically ill patients.
