Early drug test probes Body's salt control system

NCT ID NCT06649409

Summary

This early-stage study aimed to understand if an experimental drug called vamorolone can block a specific receptor in the body that helps regulate salt and water balance. It involved 30 healthy volunteers who received either vamorolone, a comparison drug, or no treatment, alongside a challenge to stimulate the receptor. The main goal was to measure changes in urine salts to see how well vamorolone worked and to check its safety.
