First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 30, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study is for veterans who have both mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) and PTSD. Researchers want to see if using a non-invasive vagus nerve stimulator (a device placed on the neck) twice a day can improve memory and reduce PTSD symptoms. The study will compare active stimulation to a sham (fake) device and measure changes in brain activity and stress markers.
