NCT ID NCT06802445

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study tests whether a non-invasive device that gently stimulates the vagus nerve, combined with simple self-care exercises, can reduce jaw and neck pain in people with temporomandibular disorder (TMD). About 48 adults with muscle-related TMD will receive either real or placebo stimulation three times a week for 30 minutes. Researchers will measure pain, jaw movement, and muscle function to see if this approach offers relief.
