Scientists zap ear nerves to tune your heartbeat
NCT ID NCT07274332
Summary
This study aims to understand how stimulating a nerve in the ear at different speeds affects basic body functions like heart rate, blood pressure, and breathing. Healthy volunteers will receive five different stimulation settings in a random order, with their body's responses carefully measured. The goal is to map out which stimulation frequency works best for influencing the body's automatic nervous system.
