First seen Apr 01, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study looked at whether placing a vaginal pack after laparoscopic surgery for pelvic organ prolapse reduces pain and improves recovery. 253 women were randomly assigned to receive packing or not. Researchers measured pain, satisfaction, and complications up to one year after surgery. The goal was to see if packing is truly beneficial or just causes extra discomfort.
