First seen Mar 21, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study tests whether using a vaginal dilator during daily pelvic radiotherapy can reduce the risk of vaginal narrowing (stenosis) in women with anal cancer. About 60 women will be randomly assigned to use the dilator during radiation or not. The goal is to see if this simple approach lowers the rate of vaginal narrowing from 50% to 25% one year after treatment.
