First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study is for women with anal cancer who need pelvic radiation. It tests whether using a vaginal dilator during each radiation session can reduce the risk of vaginal narrowing (stenosis) after treatment. Half of the 60 participants will use the dilator during radiation, and the other half will not. The goal is to see if this simple device can cut the rate of vaginal narrowing in half, from 50% to 25%.
