Could your vaginal bacteria predict surgery recovery?
NCT ID NCT04301401
Summary
This study aimed to understand how the community of bacteria in the vagina changes before and after gynecologic surgery. Researchers followed 60 menopausal women undergoing vaginal surgery, taking swabs to analyze their vaginal bacteria at multiple points. The goal was to see if these bacterial changes could be linked to how patients recover and whether they experience complications after their operation.
