New vacuum therapy aims to speed up pressure sore healing

Summary

This study tests whether a special vacuum system that cleans and closes wounds can help heal chronic pressure sores better than standard bandage changes. About 62 adults with stage 3 or 4 pressure sores on the tailbone or hip area will take part. The goal is to see if the vacuum therapy leads to faster healing and shorter hospital stays.
