Do cancer drugs wipe out Kids' vaccine shields? new study investigates

NCT ID NCT07422337

Summary

This study aims to understand if a common leukemia treatment called blinatumomab weakens the protection from childhood vaccines. Researchers will check antibody levels in up to 300 young patients (under 21) who have been treated for B-cell leukemia. They want to see if these patients need to be revaccinated to restore their immunity against diseases like measles, tetanus, and chickenpox.
