VA fights dangerous drug overload for aging veterans

Summary
This study is testing a new computer tool designed to help pharmacists spot unnecessary or potentially harmful medications prescribed to older Veterans living in VA nursing homes. The goal is to safely reduce these 'low-value' prescriptions, which can cause serious side effects. Researchers will work with staff, Veterans, and families to implement the tool and measure if it decreases risky medication use.
