Can a free class teach families to save veterans from suicide?
NCT ID NCT06470867
Summary
This study is testing whether a free, short online training called VA S.A.V.E. helps family and friends of Veterans recognize suicide warning signs and connect the Veteran to professional help. Researchers will enroll 710 people who are close to a Veteran and randomly assign them to either take the training or watch an informational video. The main goal is to see if the training leads loved ones to ask more directly about suicidal thoughts and recommend getting help.
