Summary
This study looked at whether a quick urine test for integrons (a sign of antibiotic resistance) could help doctors pick a narrower, safer antibiotic for children with fever and urinary tract infections. The goal was to see if this test-guided approach worked as well as the usual broad-spectrum antibiotics. The study was stopped early and included only 36 children, so results are limited.
