New surgical trick may cut bleeding in fibroid removal

Summary

This study tests whether temporarily clamping the blood vessels that supply the uterus and ovaries during minimally invasive fibroid surgery can reduce blood loss. About 120 women with large or numerous fibroids will take part. The goal is to make the surgery safer by lowering the risk of heavy bleeding.
