Groundbreaking uterus transplant trial offers hope for biological motherhood

Summary

This study is testing whether a uterus transplant from a deceased donor can allow women who cannot carry a pregnancy to have a baby. Ten participants will receive the transplant, undergo IVF, and attempt pregnancy while taking medications to prevent organ rejection. The transplant is temporary and will be removed after one or two children are born.
