Can a simple prize calm a Child's medical fears?

NCT ID NCT06254898

Summary

This study is testing whether giving children a small prize or incentive helps reduce their fear and anxiety when they need to undergo a medical procedure. Researchers will work with about 187 children, aged 6 to 17, who are getting a procedure and are supported by a child life specialist. They will compare the anxiety levels of children who receive a prize after their procedure to those who do not, to see if the incentive makes the experience less stressful.
