Simple pee test could spare bladder cancer patients unnecessary second surgery
NCT ID NCT07187635
Summary
This study is testing if a non-invasive urine test can help doctors decide which patients with early-stage bladder cancer need a second surgery. Currently, many patients get a second surgery to check for leftover cancer, but it might not be needed for everyone. The goal is to use the test results to recommend the second surgery only for those most likely to benefit, reducing unnecessary procedures and their risks.
