Simple pee test could spare bladder cancer patients unnecessary second surgery
NCT ID NCT07130578
Summary
This study is testing whether a non-invasive urine test can help doctors decide which patients with high-risk bladder cancer truly need a second surgery. Currently, many patients get this second procedure as a precaution, but it carries risks and costs. Researchers will compare the urine test results to the actual findings from surgery to see if the test can accurately identify who still has cancer cells left behind.
