First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study tests whether adjusting the dose of water pills (diuretics) based on urine sodium levels helps hospitalized heart failure patients get better faster. About 600 adults with acute heart failure will be assigned to either a higher or lower urine sodium target, or standard care. The goal is to see if this approach reduces hospital stays and readmissions.
