Could a simple pee test replace uncomfortable bladder scans for cancer patients?

NCT ID NCT07180212

Summary

This study is testing whether a non-invasive urine test that looks for cancer DNA can help doctors decide when patients with high-risk bladder cancer need a follow-up cystoscopy. Cystoscopy is an effective but uncomfortable camera exam of the bladder. Researchers want to see if using the urine test can safely reduce the number of these invasive exams without missing cancer that comes back.
