Summary
This study looks at whether skipping a routine urine culture before bladder tumor surgery is just as safe as doing one. The goal is to prevent serious urinary infections after the operation. About 2,600 adults scheduled for bladder tumor surgery will take part. Half will get the usual urine test, half will not, and researchers will track infection rates for 30 days after surgery.
