Scientists hunt for clues on a rising, drug-resistant UTI bug
NCT ID NCT07204769
Summary
This study aims to learn more about a specific type of bacteria called Providencia that can cause urinary tract infections (UTIs). Researchers will collect samples from 241 patients with UTIs in Egypt to see how common this bacteria is, which antibiotics can fight it, and what makes it so hard to treat. The goal is to gather information to help doctors better diagnose and manage these infections in the future.
