Research aims to solve Post-Surgery leakage mystery

NCT ID NCT05312047

Summary

This study followed 609 women who had vaginal surgery to correct pelvic organ prolapse (when organs drop into the vagina). The goal was to find out how many women experienced new or ongoing bladder leakage after the surgery and what factors might increase that risk. Researchers tracked two main types of leakage: stress incontinence (leaking with coughs or laughs) and urgency incontinence (leaking with a sudden strong urge to go).
