Urine test may shorten bladder cancer treatment without sacrificing results

NCT ID NCT07475403

First seen Mar 16, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a urine test for tumor DNA can help doctors decide how long to give immunotherapy to people with a severe, hard-to-treat type of bladder cancer. About 53 adults with very-high-risk non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer that cannot be fully removed by surgery will receive immunotherapy. If the urine test and other checks show the cancer is gone, treatment may be stopped earlier than usual. The goal is to see if this shorter, guided treatment keeps the cancer from coming back.
