First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tests whether adhesive or elastic band devices are better for holding urinary catheters in place for critically ill patients. Researchers want to see which type causes fewer skin injuries, less pain, and fewer urinary tract infections. About 188 adults in the intensive care unit will be randomly assigned to one device and monitored during their stay.
