Race against time: does faster surgery stop deadly strokes?
NCT ID NCT06767657
Summary
This study aims to find the best timing for surgery to prevent major strokes in people who recently had a minor stroke or warning sign (TIA). Researchers will compare performing surgery within 3 days versus waiting 4-15 days to see which timing better prevents death, stroke, or heart attack within 90 days. The study involves 456 participants who have a significant blockage in their neck artery and a recent minor neurological event.
