First seen May 08, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study looked at how well the body makes urea in people with severe kidney failure who are on dialysis. Ten dialysis patients received an infusion of alanine, and researchers measured their urea production over three hours. The goal was to better understand urea cycle problems in these patients, not to provide a treatment.
