Study questions if minor vein clots should alter infection care
NCT ID NCT07388381
First seen Feb 05, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 13 times
Summary
This study will observe 150 adults in the hospital who have a bloodstream infection from a long-term arm catheter. Researchers want to see if having a superficial (surface) vein clot along with the infection leads to worse outcomes, like the infection coming back or spreading. The goal is to help doctors decide whether these clots need special treatment or can be managed like a standard infection.
