Landmark study tracks health toll of denied abortions

NCT ID NCT03930576

Summary

This study aims to understand the long-term health and social consequences for women and their children when a pregnancy is unwanted and legal abortion services are denied. Researchers are following over 1,400 women in Nepal who sought pregnancy termination, checking in every six months to track their physical and mental health, family well-being, and their children's development. The goal is to gather evidence on how access to safe services affects health outcomes.
