First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study tested a new walking exercise for people who had a stroke. Instead of regular walking on a treadmill, participants practiced stepping with one leg at a time. The goal was to see if this training could improve balance, walking ability, and reduce the risk of falls. 63 stroke survivors took part, and the study measured their walking and balance before and after training.
