First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 32 times

Summary

This study created a new questionnaire called the Tourette Discrimination-Stigmatization (TD-STIGMA) scale to measure how stigma and discrimination affect children and young adults (ages 8-30) with chronic tic disorders like Tourette Syndrome. Researchers tested the scale with 43 participants to see if it is reliable and accurate. The goal is to better understand these challenges so future efforts can help reduce stigma.
