Summary

This study looks at how people decide whether to get imaging tests like X-rays or MRIs for common muscle and joint problems. About 220 adults with conditions like arthritis or carpal tunnel syndrome will either have a short conversation about the test's pros and cons or read brief information. They then answer a survey about their feelings and confidence in their decision. No actual tests are done—it's all about understanding decision-making.
