First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 21, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study looks at how opioid use disorder (OUD) affects thinking skills like decision-making and self-control. Researchers will use brain scans, computer tests, and surveys to find patterns that predict who might struggle with recovery. The goal is to improve treatment and prevent relapse by understanding these brain differences. About 192 adults with OUD will participate over 5 years.
