Scientists explore brain's smell pathways in healthy adults

NCT ID NCT04699799

First seen May 19, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study looks at how smell information from the nose reaches different parts of the amygdala, a brain area involved in emotion and memory. Researchers will measure the strength of smell signals in each subregion. The goal is to better understand how the brain processes odors, not to test a treatment. Healthy adults over 18 can join.
