NCT ID NCT00777712

First seen Jun 09, 2026 · Last updated Jun 13, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study looks at why wounds heal slowly in people with diabetes. Researchers will collect cells from chronic wounds and blood to compare how the immune system works in diabetic and non-diabetic individuals. The goal is to understand the root causes of poor wound healing, not to test a new treatment. 250 adults with chronic wounds are being recruited.
