Scientists use game theory to unlock why epilepsy patients skip meds
NCT ID NCT02441478
Summary
This study aimed to understand why some people with frontal lobe epilepsy have difficulty taking their medication as prescribed. Researchers compared 30 patients with healthy volunteers, having them play a cooperation game while their brains were scanned. The goal was to see if differences in brain activity during decision-making are linked to medication adherence.
