Scientists hunt for clues to stop dangerous drug allergies in kids with cancer

NCT ID NCT07499336

Summary

This study aims to understand why some children and young adults with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) develop severe allergic reactions to a key chemotherapy drug called PEG-asparaginase. Researchers will study the immune systems of 45 participants, comparing those who have a reaction to those who do not. The goal is to find biological markers that could predict who is at risk, potentially making future treatment safer.
