First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study aims to understand how different parts of the amygdala, a brain region involved in emotion and smell, process odors. Researchers will use mild electrical stimulation in 12 adults who are already undergoing brain surgery for other reasons. Participants will rate smells before and after stimulation to see how their perception changes.
